I am passionate about championing the healthy development of children and teenagers by providing them with the safety to find their voice and and fully embrace who they are. I love creating a therapeutic environment where children and teenagers finally feel heard, understood, and hopeful.
I use play therapy to help young children make meaning of their experiences, process and master their emotions.

Ms. Monique is a board certified child, adolescent, family and adult psychiatrist. Ms. Monique's goal is to work collaboratively with patients and she believes in an integrative approach which may include a combination of therapies, lifestyle changes and medications. She believes in patient and family-centered care helping clients build on and enhance their own inner strengths.
Ms. Monique has received training in various psychotherapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialetical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness and family therapy. She has extensive knowledge and training in psychotropic medication management.
Ms. Monique has co-led dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) groups for young people and their families throughout her training. She trained at one of the few inpatient developmental disability hospitals in the country focusing on children with autism and intellectual disabilities.
